Dr. Glen Goleburn

Dr. Goleburn joined his father’s dental practice in Newark in 1988. Since then he has added services such as sedation and implants, added dentists and partners, and added locations throughout Delaware. As Managing Partner of The Sleepy Tooth Group, he built a team of general dentists and specialists that offers state of the art care, and features in-office sedation and general anesthesia at multiple locations. This niche has attracted a dedicated following of special needs patients and gained Dr. Goleburn’s repeated recognition as top sedation dentist and top special needs dentist.

Along the way, Dr. Goleburn has been active in organized dentistry, holding positions in the Delaware Academy of General Dentistry such as Public Information Officer and chapter President, as well as various committees in the Delaware State Dental Society. He has also served as the dentist representative on the State Medicaid Advisory Committee, and in 2008 he organized and hosted a statewide forum on Dental Care for Persons with Disabilities, attended by several state officials and candidates for office.

Dr. Goleburn believes in the power of relationships. In the course of his professional endeavors, he has developed personal and business relationships with dentists and dental team members, business leaders, state officials, and patient care advocates. Each of these relationships has not only furthered the success of the practice, but also benefited the people of Delaware.

When the opportunity arose to merge with the practices under his co-Managing Partner, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Goleburn and his team set about the course to join forces with a similarly situated multi-location group at the forefront of dentistry. Using his experience and skill set, he has been instrumental in helping the two teams become one as Freedom Dental Health.

In his spare time, Dr. Goleburn enjoys all forms of boating, especially sailing off of Cape Henlopen. He sings and plays keyboards in cover bands and enjoys concerts and comedy shows with his wife Michelle. They like to cook healthy but tasty meals together, as well as dining out together. Hiking and cycling Delaware’s many trails are his preferred exercise. They have three children between them, and always at least one dog. He splits his time between Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach.
